Here are some of Bella's previous babies the "Disney Litter".  I hope this gives you an idea of how the puppies grow and change over a course of just a few weeks!  All these puppies have been adopted by wonderful families.  My little models are Prince, Charming, Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Cinderella.

Bella's babies are all doing extrememly well.  We have two girls and 5 boys.  The two girls are solid black with alittle white on their chin and white on their chest.  In fact all the solid black puppies have these same white markings.  There are two boys that have the classic black and silver markings (like their Mom and Dad).  The brownish color on these guys will soon turn to the beautiful white color.  This litter was born Feb. 4th.  They are ready for adoption now and can go to their new home March 25-April 1st.
The puppies are doing great!  They were born without any help (free welped) and were able to begin nursing soon after birth.  Bella is healthy and doing extrememly well.  At birth these puppies weighed 5oz - 8oz.  They continue to nurse well and grow according to plan.  Their tails have been docked and their dew claws were removed this week by the vet.  Their eyes and ears are not open yet but they are responding well to the stimulation exercises and being held by us!   Their first week was an eventful one with our record snow fall in Texas!  All is well with the puppies and Bella.

We continue to be growing great!  As you can see all the puppies have their eyes open now.  As expected they are starting to see their world and hear what is going on too!  They are beginning to move around some as well.  Bella continues to do a wonderful job of nursing all the babies.  She really has a 24/7 job feeding all these hungry puppies!  Her continuous empty food bowl is evidence they are all eating well!  (Yes! she is feed all she can eat too!)  She is not putting on any extra pounds.  These puppies have all had their first dose of the de-worming medicine and will continue on the recommended treatments as a preventative.  We are about to get pretty messy.... as they learn to "potty" without Bella's help and start to move around we will be called the stinky kids for a week or two!  But, that's ok!  In just a few short weeks they will learn to "potty" away from their bed on the newspaper and by 6 weeks everyone will be doing 90% of the "potty" outside by using the doggie doort.  WOW!  They grow and learn so fast during these first few weeks!  If you have any questions on their development please don't hesitate to call or email!

All the Boys are still available for adoption.  One of the girls is reserved for the Daffan family.  They will make their choice in the next few weeks.

Thank you for viewing these babies and I hope you enjoy!
Week 2
Austin may be a BIG city in Texas but he is a tiny little puppy in this litter!  He is just now 1.2 pounds.
Justin has nice, flashy black and silver markings.  He will be a looker!
Joshua is a nice solid black without any off colored hairs poking through.  He looks just like Austin just slightly larger with a ton of hair!
Tyler is my other black and silver puppy.  He and Justin are very similiar!
Dallas is my second smallest little boy.  He is a nice solid black with 4 white paws.  Very cute!
My girls are cute, small little things!  Whitney is solid black with a little white on her chin and chest.  She already has a nice full coat.
Paris is my smallest girl weighing just an ounce more than Austin at 1.3ounces.  She is also solid black with a little white on her chin and chest.  She as well will have a nice full coat of hair!.
My Bella!
The Texas Babies are really starting to shine!  Their markings are just beautiful.  All of these little guys will have a super nice coat.  Their hair is very thick and full for just 3 weeks old.  You'll be amazed at how different they will look after I give them their first haircut in a few weeks!  This week we started with a manicure and pedicure!  Their fingernails and toenails were getting really long!

They are starting to stay awake for longer periods of time.  I look forward to watching them start to chew on each others ears this coming week!  Toys have been placed in their bed so when they are ready they will have plently of stimulation.  Right now they are just something to snuggle up to during naptime!

I hope you enjoy the pictures of the kids this week!  They seem to really love having their pictures made!  And, of course I love it as well!!

We are getting ready for St. Patrick's Day and Spring here at the Martin home.  Our weather has been beautiful this week!!  The kids have been out in the pretty sunshine several times this week.  Everyone is moving around very well and beginning to explore their surroundings.  They still love to sleep and nurse but they are starting to become more playful and active.

This week they baby bed has been removed from their pen and replaced with a toddler bed.  The kids have done very well not soiling their new bed.  We are learning to do the business on newspaper away from where we sleep.  Around 6 weeks they will learn to use the doggie door.  More toys have been added to their pen as well.

They have had a taste of puppy food.  By the end of next week everyone will be eating puppy food daily and Bella will begin to wean them.  Their teeth are starting to come in nicely.

Everyone is getting their fair share of attention from the 4-legged family.  KC Jane takes the puppies on trips to walmart in her stroller.  So far they tolerate her!  She also likes to snuggle on the couch with a puppy and watch Full House.

Five weeks have passes rather quickly! But I know for you expectant parents it can't go by fast enough!  The babies are all doing so well.  This week most have discovered and successfully used the doggie door!  We have had great weather this week so I think Bella has been encouraging them to follow her and spend time outdoors.  Mallory and KC Jane have been outside a lot this week as well and of course wherever they are one of the puppies are being brought along as well!  The puppies have tagged along with my girls while they have taken walks down to Nana and Papa's house, practiced the piano, watched TV, been their watchdog during bathtime, and helped with their chores around the house.  This is social time is so important for several reasons.  First it gets the puppy used to being away from the littermates and Bella.  They are learning independence and to function in the home environment.  Second, the puppies are being exposed to noises, sights, smells, etc of family life with 4-legged people.  Last but not least, the puppies are being handled A LOT by different people.  All of this benefits the puppy.  I can't even begin to describe the benefits and rewards it gives my girls (and My husband and I) to love on these little guys and watch them grow!  They are used to people and the love they receive from us.  You'll see first hand the benefits of this when you bring your puppy home!

This week we will continue working on the "7's" to help along the socialization period. (see more information on the puppy development page).  The puppies have begun to play with the toys in their pens.  They particularly like the balls!  Different toys will continue being rotated in the pen for a variety!  Toys will also be added outside in their play area as well.  The puppies are doing very well eating the puppy food.  They are beginning to eat and drink from Bella's dishes throughout the day.  She will really begin the weening process this next week.  I've started giving the puppies little puppy bones to chew on.  They have really loves these!  You'll want to invest in several bags!!  I'll have some of these and the treats they love in their goody/going home bag.
